Psychological Safety

Listen to this Tedx Talk with Amy Edmondson on psychological safety and three things you can do to create psychological safety in your workplace.  There is a spot in your workbook for taking notes as you listen if you wish.

First, Do No Harm

This video covers some information on the National Standard of Canada on Psychological Health & Safety in the Workplace and psychosocial factors that impact psychological health and safety at work.

To understand the psychosocial factors that impact psychological health in the workplace, go here.

Fill out the Initial Scan here.

You have to create an account to fill out the scan, the organizational review or the employee survey, but it is all free.  After you fill out the Initial Scan yourself, make some notes in your workbook about why your score is where it is. Have your immediate team fill it out and then have a discussion about how things are and what needs to change.

Maximizing Mental Energy

After you watch this video, find the reflective writing exercise in your workbook. Set a timer for 20 minutes and write about the conditions in which you have your best mental energy. Find a way to share this exercise with your team and discuss how you can best support each other to maximize your mental energy.

Reflective Questions Used at Sinai Health System During Change

In your workbook try out these questions thinking about the changes you have made to your work due to Covid-19.

Supporting Psychological Health in the Workplace

In your workbook, reflect on each of these questions (perhaps one/day?) related to how your leadership practices impact the psychological health in your workplace.
